The BlackBerry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook is due for release next year!

So you might want to know a bit about it?

Well lets start with the LCD display it has a resolution of 1024 x 600 on a 7" panel we think this size is better suited for a device of this nature as it makes it more portable. Our feeling is that 10" is just too big to carry around everyday whereas the 7 inch size is not all that much bigger than a paperback book.

Next up processing power the PlayBook has a 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9-based processor, it also has openGL graphics capability as well as supporting 1080p video playback and output.... Perfect for use as a portable HD video player.

Size, the PlayBook is less than a centimeter thick and ways just over 400 grams making it very thin small and pocketable.

We will put more info up when we get it.

BlackBerry Torch Rocks

Hello all,

Its about time we started contributing to our blog and hope that you will want to follow us online.

We have been playing around with the new BlackBerry Torch and we think it is great, the new operating system makes using BlackBerry so much better and the web browser is excellent. The handset is larger than what you would normally expect from a modern blackberry however it is still smaller than most smart phones on the market. The large LCD display with capacitive touch screen makes web browsing a dream especially as the new web-kit browser features super fast load times, pinch to zoom and tabbed browser windows.

BlackBerry have certainly upped their game with this device and is a much needed addition to the BlackBerry family.

The main difference here being the new OS6 operating system which adds a slick new look to the user interface and drastically improves the speed of running applications. We have OS6 setup on the 9700, 9300 and 9100 too! We were impressed with the OS on all the devices we have tested and are sure BlackBerry customers will love the changes that been made.

We found the camera on the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 to be excellent the new shooting modes such as night and landscape mode are a welcome addition to the camera function. You can pick up the new Torch for £499 form our store or FREE on many contracts (correct as of 05/11/2010) feel free to call us on 0141 331 0882 for more information.

An avid Blackberry user

"I started Network Wedding back in 2007 to give brides all the information they need to plan their wedding in one place-including a few surprises, such as owl ring bearers - and i couldn't do it without my BlackBerry from Orange. Due an upgrade in 2009, i chose a BlackBerry Curve 8900 and received the phone less than 24 hours after ordering it,which was pretty impressive. I'm a working mum and my BlackBerry helps me juggle work and home-life. Being able to access the Internet and emails in my hand is fabulous. I often leave the office at 3pm to head for the school gates and don't like leaving emails received after this time till the following morning. With a Blackberry in my hand i can respond promptly, even with trumpet practice in the background, and I'm sure this attention to customer service has increased profit. Many of my clients deal with emails in the late afternoon, so it's important i can communicate by email during these late hours of the working day"
